Kinnaird Sewer Separation Project Update, per notice from Epcor:

Phase 2 – Ongoing/Upcoming Construction Micro-Tunneling In 2022, work will occur at the three remaining worksite locations for the second phase. The phases and worksite locations are outlined below:

Worksite #3 – 88 Street, north of 118 Avenue – expected to start in summer 2022 and anticipated to be completed by fall 2022

Worksite #4 – 88 Street, south of 118 Avenue – currently underway and anticipated to be completed by fall 2022

Worksite #5 – 88 Street and 117 Avenue – currently underway and anticipated to be completed by fall 2022.

IMPACTS

-A full road closure of 88 Street south of 118 Avenue.

-Two eastbound lanes will be closed on 118 Avenue near the worksite. The westbound lanes will be converted into one lane in each direction to allow two-way traffic.

-No parking will be permitted on 88 Street south of 118 Avenue for approximately 30 metres.

-No parking will be permitted on the south side of 118 Avenue near the worksite.-The sidewalk on the south side of 118 Avenue will be narrowed and detoured around the worksite.

-No crossing will be permitted across 88 Street on the south side of 118 Avenue.

-No crossing will be permitted across 118 Avenue at 88 Street. Pedestrian crosswalks are available at 87 Street and 88 Street.

SCHEDULE

Regular working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday. If required, these hours may be extended, and construction may occur on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There are two time frames where 24 hours a day, 7 days a week work is required at Worksite #4 to keep the TBM from stopping. The estimated timeframes and durations are:

– Late April to early June 2022

– Mid-July to mid-August 2022
