As we bid, farewell, we also celebrate and pay tribute to a pillar of our community league, Mr. Theodore (Ted) Linkewich. Being raised in the Delton area, he was always an active participant in community events from a young age. Ted even contributed to the construction of the community hall during his high school years, earning credits while working under the guidance of Walter Gurba in carpentry. Ted met Gwen Gurba through the community and they eventually married and celebrated their love here at the hall. Throughout the decades, he held various positions on the board, rising to the role of President. Ted’s unwavering dedication and service as a volunteer for numerous events have been a beacon of inspiration to newer generations. The exemplary role Ted played for his daughter Brandi, numerous nieces and nephews, and the broader community is truly commendable. Delton will deeply miss his distinctive and infectious laughter. Ted’s warm hugs, and kindly words of wisdom were always a source of comfort. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends. No words can express the gratitude we have for Ted with his kindness, care, attention, and devotion to the Delton community league. Thank you, Ted may rest in peace, dear friend.
